How booking works: tell us a little about your child and the times that suit you, and we’ll confirm your free consultation in the chat. No commitment, no pressure.

What to expect in your free consultation

Your consultation is a short conversation with a member of our team, not a sales call. We’ll ask about your child’s learning, what has been tried before and what you hope will change. Then we’ll explain how our tutoring works and whether we’re a good fit.

If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you. We’d rather point you toward the right resource than have you spend your Georgia Promise funds or your own money on support that won’t help.

Why Georgia families choose us

Georgia Promise or private pay

Special Ed Resource is an approved provider in the Georgia Promise Scholarship Odyssey Marketplace. Families who pay privately are welcome too.

Certified in special education

Our teachers are certified in special education. Special Ed Resource has 40+ tutors and has been teaching one-to-one since 2014.

Built around your child

We choose a teacher from our own team with your child’s needs in mind (for Promise-paid sessions, a teacher who meets the program’s Georgia certificate rule), and plan around any IEP goals you choose to share.

Online, anywhere in Georgia

Live one-to-one sessions online, so families anywhere in Georgia use the same online format; we confirm a teacher and schedule with you.

Program status: In August 2026, families filed a lawsuit in DeKalb County Superior Court (Sands v. Green) challenging the rule that students must first attend public school, according to the families’ lawyers and news reports. As of October 2, 2026, we have found no report of a ruling, and the program is operating for the 2026-27 school year. Read about the lawsuit.

Common questions before booking

How long is the consultation?

It’s a short, free conversation focused on your child and your questions.

Do we need a Georgia Promise award before we talk?

No. You can talk with us while you are applying, waiting for a decision or still deciding, and families who pay privately are welcome. To pay with Georgia Promise, your child needs an approved award; you then complete the program opt-in and, each quarter, the Quarterly Opt-In before funds can be spent; then you order in the Odyssey Marketplace. Promise does not reimburse tutoring paid for outside the Marketplace, so don’t pay out of pocket first if you plan to use your Promise funds.

Is there any cost for the consultation?

No. The consultation is free, with no obligation.
